The first device translates all the codes found on the original remote with some added functionality, such as a discrete UPCONVERT button and separate chapter skip and FF/REV buttons. The second device holds 2 miscellaneous codes not found on the original remote, so use with caution: a test pattern and factory reset. I searched all 256 codes for this remote and there is no power off discrete code.
