Robbie's Pink Floyd MX-3000

Here is my Pink Floyd themed home remote. It took forever and is very customized to my home system (and to my wife's liking). Please note the use of variables to modify the MAIN button's functionality... pressing MAIN while on the main menu will return you to the device you were last using without issuing the macro (useful for accidental presses of MAIN). What you might find useful is the full AudioRequest QWERTY keyboard, including capitals.

Second Place Winner!
Cutting edge graphics with a warm, classic feel. Designed around a modular concept allowing great freedom in layout, with numerous graphical elements including backgrounds and several positional overlay panels to accent the design. Includes dedicated panels for functions such as playing media, CD disc selection, and keypad entry. Maintains a clean design with clear, legible text. Under the Goodies device are included a large number of fully rendered buttons and titlebar text for other devices, an entire suite of blank buttons (and titlebar) set up for user text, blank menu, choice of title bars with discrete or toggle power, as well as a battery bar for the main menu.

Second Place Winner!
I designed this layout to provide an extremely user-friendly remote which didn’t make too many compromises in functionality. I created a series of buttons which could easily be reused in other projects. I also experimented with colors which were easy to read, and easy to distinguish. Each device has its own color palette. This allows another identifying characteristic for each component and reduces the possibility of confusion. There is also a sense of consistency and unity throughout the remote. This file also makes use of variables, offers feedback wherever possible, sound and much more.

I have tried to use the MX-3000 to the max, including almost all of the memory. I thought out of the box and brought some nice animation with me. Every image that you will see both moving and still images came from high-resolution photos.

What makes my remote configuration unique is that it is simple, easy to use but also adapts to many tastes, from contemporary to refined. Most importantly, my remote is functional for not only the most basic perspective (ease of use) to the more complex use. This makes my remote a great find for any member of the family.

A custom MX-3000 design for one of our customers. It includes 54 favorite channel graphics, TiVo button graphics, and a few source graphics (Tivo, CD, DVD, Radio, Satellite, VCR). All of the buttons were designed and customized in Photoshop. I've put the full 96 favorite channel bitmap files, along will all of the other buttons in the "graphics" section of Remote Central.
