Craig Nix's Media Center PCF
Added by Craig Nix | 2005 | 4,015 views
This is my first version for the TSU7000. Most of the systems I am involved with include Windows Media Centers, so you will find this one operates primarily focused on a system built around MCE 2005. If you are familiar with MCE though, you know that HDTV isn't one of it's key features, so this setup has an easy ability built in to switch back and forth from HDTV to MCE. Most artwork was designed and done by me, so be kind, but I hope you like it. First one is the hardest, stay tuned, they will get better from here.

Contest Entry #22: Chloe
Added by Tom Molstad | 2004 | 3,784 views
SECOND PLACE WINNER! Chloe is a device oriented PCF for TV, DVD, VCR, AMP and LIGHTING. The file has a unique colorful 3D interface with transitional animations. Each device has a single page and makes use of the “firm” buttons, which are labelled on the LCD screen. Included is a template page for other devices or to flesh out included devices. All buttons have “delay” placeholders. Try it in the simulator to see the animations!

Contest Entry #01: Perforated Metal
Added by David Beck | 2004 | 3,644 views
RUNNER UP! I have put a lot of thought into the layout of my PCF design and I think it makes good use of the Pronto NG’s color capabilities without being gratuitously flashy. I wanted to give the design a sense of spatial depth and for it to have an industrial feel, like it was actually made of materials that would be used to construct an RC device, but I also wanted it to have a slightly surreal quality to make it fun to use. The design incorporates both “activity” and “device” concepts. The “cinema” pages, for example, execute macro events where audio, video and lighting adjustments will automatically be made. If however you wish to make an adjustment to the picture or sound qualities during these macro events, the “remotes” button will allow access to individual device control. While the file is large (please be patient while loading!!!) and the design contains a number of hidden and (seemingly) redundant pages, these were necessary for proper navigation. For example, when selecting the “TV” button on the “remotes” page to access the TV remote, the appropriate “source” button (DVD, VHS, etc…) on the TV remote page will be dimmed depending on... (more)

Contest Entry #34: Envision
Added by Mike Ventimiglia | 2004 | 3,443 views
THIRD PLACE WINNER! Envision is a totally new way to look at the Philips Pronto. The first version encompasses a completely overhauled interface to the remote. Rather than stressing on unneeded functions, the minimal technical design makes way for increased aesthetic appeal. The typical TSU7000 interface was removed in a favor of a more user friendly environment. In the future, this design will be enhanced and made available.

Contest Entry #10: Trek7000
Added by Keith Michaels | 2004 | 3,433 views
This PCF design is based on LCARS (Library Computer Access and Retrieval System), the graphical computer interface seen on certain Star Trek TV series. There are control pages for a TV, DSS receiver, TiVo, ReplayTV, Receiver, DVD player, LaserDisc player, 2 VCRs, CD player, tuner, tape deck, video games, lights, and curtains. A few of the standard system items have been replaced to take advantage of the whole LCD and create a complete design: - The activity icon is now a Star Trek phaser and pops up while the Pronto transmits.
- The battery gauge is a functioning LCARS-style battery gauge.
- Pressing and holding the circular blue logo for 3 seconds takes you to the Pronto's setup pages.
Additional Info: To go to the Home page at any time, press the lower-right "Home" hard button. I tried to leave all device functionality as generic as possible, hopefully allowing most people to use this PCF in their own system without much customization beyond programming their device's IR codes. To simplify programming, a "Codes" page under each device contains buttons with the IR codes for that device. The actual device buttons link to these buttons for their IR codes.

Gary Hamilton's Second PCF
Added by Gary Hamilton | 2004 | 3,395 views
This is my second 7000 PCF design. This time I thought I would work on a design that used the colors found on the remote housing, plus some contrasting color that shows up well in the daytime. The background screen on buttons reminds one of the old tuner "eye" on ancient stereo equipment (now you know I'm over 50) so I call this a retro design. I was unable to get this to work in remote with latest firmware so I use it with V1.6.5. Current menu scrolls across top of screen as choice is implemented. All new button design took the most time because of highlighting. Dishnetwork channel logos (Dallas/Ft.Worth) are included in Themes.
