Complete system PCF for TSU7000. This is actually an update of a remote I uploaded a few months ago, and I like this iteration a whole lot better. I scrapped some hardware, moved to an iMon HTPC, and wound up creating a lot of new buttons (plus a lot of revisions to prior buttons) myself from scratch. The Pronto now also does full home automation and not just remote control aggregation; lighting and window shades are now also controlled by the system. Hope you enjoy!

This is a rework of my B&W TSU3500 file for the color TSU7000. I also changed the design to reduce the number of top level pages and simplify the operating logic.

It is a complete file for my Home Theater system, based on Daniel Tonks' wonderful design with some additions such as my hacked Blu-ray icon. For each device I have a hidden IR page which holds all the codes available for the device. This makes it easy to modify for a different set of components. There are some saved IR pages for devices not currently in use. I have to fake discrete codes for the Samsung DVD and Blu-ray even though the Samsung plasma has them - go figure.

The design is very flexible with several ways to accomplish the same thing (for example both top device buttons and a device page). Lighting control is built in- lights come on on power off.

There are also several new Tonks style icons for Netflix and BluRay.

RUNNER UP! I have put a lot of thought into the layout of my PCF design and I think it makes good use of the Pronto NG’s color capabilities without being gratuitously flashy. I wanted to give the design a sense of spatial depth and for it to have an industrial feel, like it was actually made of materials that would be used to construct an RC device, but I also wanted it to have a slightly surreal quality to make it fun to use.

The design incorporates both “activity” and “device” concepts. The “cinema” pages, for example, execute macro events where audio, video and lighting adjustments will automatically be made. If however you wish to make an adjustment to the picture or sound qualities during these macro events, the “remotes” button will allow access to individual device control.

While the file is large (please be patient while loading!!!) and the design contains a number of hidden and (seemingly) redundant pages, these were necessary for proper navigation. For example, when selecting the “TV” button on the “remotes” page to access the TV remote, the appropriate “source” button (DVD, VHS, etc…) on the TV remote page will be dimmed depending on... Simple, basic easy layout using large coloured buttons with channel names on, additional larger colour battery bar on every page, all interlinked to provide an idiot proof layout. And it must be, as the mrs and my elderly parents can use it!

RUNNER UP! This PCF is a modified version of the one I use on my remote. It has continued to change and be enhanced almost every day for two months! Most of the buttons have been redone several times to look right on the actual remote. Things you might miss a first glance are:

Buttons that blend into the background (on the side and top bars).

Shadows on some buttons and text. On the actual remote the home page buttons actually seem to float above the background.

In the “Power Center”, rocker switches that seem to work when pressed.

All buttons have a “pressed” state.

“Visual” independent lighting control for the Home Theatre.

If you're looking for animations and wild colors, then this PCF is not for you. It was designed with the older generation in mind, with nice big buttons, large text and a simple but effective layout. All buttons have a pressed and released state image. As on all of my PCFs, I have included the cursor buttons on the screen as well as the hard buttons. XaraX was used entirely for the design.

I decided to do something a little different on this PCF! You will find very few buttons that are ovals, circles or rectangles. Each type of button has its own unique shape and shading. Most of the text is on a curve to match its button. Almost every button is semi transparent to some degree using the PNG alpha-transparency. Most buttons have a pressed and released state. The pressed and released buttons are interchangeable, so you could change the color scheme of the PCF by changing these two buttons around.

There are sequences of lightning strikes that can be "animated" into your macros, so it looks like a lightning storm when the macro runs. The cursor buttons are both on the screen and the hard buttons.

This is a color pcf with custom buttons. Special features include a 1/2 hr record for the DVD hard drive from the TiVo.

So I had quite a few glitches in my old version leading to lock ups on the lights page and some other pages. This a complete rewrite starting fresh. I actually saved all graphics and locations and started with nothing and only referenced my old remote to build it the same layout and then impove on that. I added allot on new graphics, cleaner IR codes and an easier to navigate macro section. Some graphics are my own as well as using many of the clasics that I loved from Tom Molstad, Mike Ventimiglia, Daniel Tonks and many other great artist on this site. I would like to say thanks for all those who contributed grphics that I used and thanks to the people that I may not have mentioned as well. I saved allot of the PSDs from stuff I made so if you need something I did not include in the ZIP file email me. I will do my best to get it to you.
