A very consistent, and efficient complete system. A lot of thought was put in to navigation, usability, and simplification. MP3 control is done with the IRMan and IRManager with XMMS for Linux.

This Pronto interface is based on Jim Hughes' original design and continues the theme of taking a minimalistic approach in order to simplify the task of managing and integrating a complex home theater system.

Virtual devices for DSS, VCR1 and DVD for easy reprogramming by remapping to another manufacturer's device (also includes unused codes for Sony TVs, Panasonic DVDs and Plasmas). Multiple screens for satellite channels with logos. Single-key shutdown macros shut off all devices for a particular activity.

A very interesting CCF that demonstrates the extent of how much automation can be programmed with X-10. Includes IR-based control of house climate, fireplace, speakers and lights. Check it out!
