This setup caters to both the advanced and technophobic user. The "Basics" icon steps begineers through powering on/off necessary equipment and gives them a common interface for controlling equipment. For the advanced user, Windows-style panels are available and give full control for all devices. Thanks to those whose ideas and designs I've borrowed.

This Pronto interface is based on Jim Hughes' original design and continues the theme of taking a minimalistic approach in order to simplify the task of managing and integrating a complex home theater system.

The layout is for complete ease of us for my wife and family. I have borrowed the icons and buttons used in my CCF from other layouts deposited on this site... my thanks go to the people who provided them and a special thanks the Andrea, I used alot of her ideas! Well this is my current CCF file. I have been working on it for months and am finally satisfied enough to upload it. Yes it can still be much fancier but this works very well for my wife and I. We have a DSS Tivo, DVD Changer, Big Screen, and a Projector with a Electric screen. Unfortunatly I have NOT created any thing new just used bits and pieces from everyone else. The one thing I did different is that I try to space out my buttons to minimize pushing the wrong one. I just hope this will give you all some ideas. Thank you all for your help and suggestions.

Activity-based system for the TS-1000 with macros throughout. Virtual devices for DSS, VCR1 and DVD for easy reprogramming by remapping to another manufacturer's device (also includes unused codes for Sony TVs, Panasonic DVDs and Plasmas). Multiple screens for satellite channels with logos. Single-key shutdown macros shut off all devices for a particular activity.

My first attempt at a ccf. I borrowed the Sony RM-AV2000 template from Cary Gerber and went crazy. I also borrowed the TV logos from Andrea Whitlock and edited the borders. I like the neatness of the end result.

A complete system setup for the following components.

A very consistent, and efficient complete system. A lot of thought was put in to navigation, usability, and simplification. MP3 control is done with the IRMan and IRManager with XMMS for Linux.

This is a complete system file with custom screens and custom buttons. The system was designed to be easily used by my wife and young kids, not just me. It emphasizes screens that focus on accomplishing a desired function (e.g. "Watch", then "Watch What?"), rather than a collection of individual screens that focus on controlling an individual device. The Dish Network screens include a "favorites" button (a heart icon) that leads to channel icons that have been grouped by type (sports, kids, news, etc.) If desired, there is an "expert" button on the home screen that leads to ugly, but functional screens for each device. These same screens are the "IR" screens that are aliased into the button scripts.
