All activities are listed on the "Watch" Page 1. All devices are listed on the "Listen" Page 1. Designed for the least amount of putton pushing that I could come up with!

Badger's Den MX-700

Activity-based macros on main page ensure clarity for first-time users. Fast macros to jump between common operating modes (Cable, DVD, etc.). System-off macro switches TV and Receiver back to most-used mode (cable viewing) before turning components off. This allows the System-on macro to be very quick with only power-on commands (eliminating long macro pauses between power-on and input changes). Experienced users can just use the System-on and jump macros for very quick and efficient mode changes. Common receiver and TV functions (Surround mode, channel levels, etc.) have been copied to other devices to all-but eliminate the need to switch devices on the remote. This file is evolving, so I'd love to hear feedback!

Simple System for Mom
Added by Jim Hafers | 2009 | 9,194 views
After much research, and a great tip from Mike Lang, I got the Elite screen working. I happened to have an old One-for-all remote and learned the codes to that first, then to the MX-900. Might work on some other Elite screens. The remote is set up with simplicity in mind, for my mother and her boyfriend. Bulletproof, with discretes and RF. Hope this helps some people!

Damian Anzelmo's MX-850
Added by Damian Anzelmo | 2005 | 9,043 views
The 1st LCD page has the macros on the left of the LCD screen and the device components on the right. Buttons right of the LCD control the macros and buttons left of the LCD control the device components. After the macro executes it defaults to the device’s LCD control page. Favorite channels are for the Dish Network DSS system. This is my 1st attempt at programming the MX-850, I’ve had it for a week.

The layout uses some LCD buttons (like AMP>, and <BACK) for easy jumps to different screens. The file is still being tweaked as I search for more discretes! Now includes a new DVD player and updated VCR commands.

Lee Friedman's MX-950

This is a novice's basic setup of the MX-950 remote. There are a few comments I would like to add regarding my design philosophy. I am fortunate in that my components all offered discrete on/off codes, enabling me to avoid variable statements for the various power statuses of the devices. The main program design issue I had was the main up/down/left/right "joystick" button in the middle of the remote. While it normally operates the codes for the Motorola STB, I had to design a situation in which it controls the TV menu system if that is accessed (hence assigning the joystick buttons to the Pioneer). I managed to do this by writing identical pages under both TV and STB devices; the default page is the STB device, where the toggle operates STB commands. When "menu" is pressed however, it opens the identical page under TV, wherein the toggle operates Pioneer commands. The MENU button itself toggles between the pages so that exiting the TV menu brings the remote back to STB-appropriate commands. Menu paging is seemless, with only the page title changing. I used variables to define the status of the AVR device selector (eg. TV, DVD, etc.), since changing from TV to TV or DVD to DVD... (more)
