This is the beginning parts of my new home theater. I hope some of these codes, macros, and LCD button layouts can be of use!

My first shot at the MX-700 with tons of macros, discrete codes, etc.

My complete bedroom television system as used with an MX-800 remote control. Utilizes simple device-switching macros and offers complete component control. Works well with both inexperienced users and the technically savvy.

Discrete codes for everything but the DSS. Main page 1 are devices; page 2 are activities.

This MX-700/MX-800 file contains many discrete codes and setup macros. An attempt has been made to program devices similarly with controls as few steps away as possible and usable without looking.

This is the type of macro driven activity based Main Screen I use for all my remotes. One button push turns on and sets the inputs and outputs for all of the components required for a given activity. Once an activity is started there are other macros to switch between activities. And finally a macro to turn the system off from the current activity. I usually put together a rough flow chart to aid in getting the macros right.

This system includes some more advanced techniques using variables to simulate a 'navigate device' button.

I use three variables that stores a '3 bit' value when you select a source, and then with a press/hold on a 'system' button will send you to a different device for a quick setup, such as preamplifier sound field selections, a lighting page or whatever. Then pressing the [back] button on that page, you will be sent back to your previous device.

The concept is that you don't have to put a lighting page on all your devices, you can jump to that device page, and then go back to your previous device with one button press.
